The Department of Labor and Industries Updated its Rules

The Department of Labor and Industries filed the following rules February 7,
2006:

The department filed the following rule adoptions, CR103s, for the following
rules:
Electrical Safety Standards, Administration, and Installation, Chapter
296-46B WAC
The purpose of this rulemaking is to review the electrical rules for
additions or revisions. The electrical rules are reviewed on an annual
basis to ensure the rules are consistent with the national consensus
standards, industry practice, and to clarify the rules.

Rulemaking Plan:
Adoption February 7, 2006
Effective April 1, 2006

Minor Housekeeping Amendments to Safety and Health Standards
OSHA recently made changes to notification requirements in their
construction rules and removed outdated references in their general industry
rules. The department has amended its rules to remain at least as effective
as OSHA. General housekeeping changes have also been made to correct
typographical errors.

Effective June 1, 2006
